What was the name of the unfaithful woman that Hosea married?

Hosea 1:3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.

 

Why did Hosea marry knowing she would be unfaithful to him?

Hosea 1:2 The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord.

 

What were the three children’s names given to Hosea wife’s children?

Hosea 1:4. And the Lord said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

Were all three of these children for Hosea?

No the children were not Hosea’s, according to Hosea 1:2 The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, TAKE UNTO THEE A WIFE OF WHOREDOMS AND CHILDREN OF WHOREDOMS: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord.

Once again my sister you are a scholar of the word but I have to diagree on one point. Hose a 1:3 states So he married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son. That tells me Jezreel was for Hosea but the others are a different story. Hosea 1:6 Gomer conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. No specific reference to her being Hosea's daughter. Hosea 1:8 After she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, Gomer had another son. Once again no specific mention of this boy being for Hosea. Thanks again my sister in Christ, You are amazing.
